Master Stylist, Entrepreneur, Educator, Philanthropist
These are just a few words to try to encapsulate the woman and the brand that is Tamika Falls. The impact that she not only has on her community, or with her clientele, but also the influence she has on the culture of the hair care and beauty industry.
Tamika is a sought after instructor introducing the latest techniques, styles, business procedures and operational skills to not only those who are established in the industry, but she seems to gravitate and has a special place in her heart for those new up and coming stylist, who remind her so much of herself when she had nothing more than a vision and a dream of one day owning her own salon.
The day would finally materialized with the opening of Ureka’s Hair Salon on Magazine Street in New Orleans which would eventually be renamed First Ladies Hair Salon and would also relocate to the New Orleans Gentilly area and then eventually expand to the its’ second location in Chalmette.
Tamika works diligently with the LSBBA LOCAL #1, where she will receive her doctorate degree in the near future. Tamika is also a part of the advisory committee with Delgado Community College Cosmetology and Barber Board.
